Dining with Superheroes

Tonight I spent an interesting evening with 3 Superheroes. We dined sumptiously on Stir Fry Shrimp,Jasmine Rice & Iced tea.

First, was Captain Iceberg. A pleasant fellow who has the ability to pull icecube trays from the freezer and magically chill our drinks. Quite handy fellow actually. I can hear it now, "Oh honey, we're out of ice. Could you run to the store and buy another bag." Suddenly, he jumps out of nowhere, striking a pose only worthy of a Superhero and proclaims, "Have no fear, Captain Iceberg is here!" I still haven't figured out why he wears white Hanes briefs on the outside of his leggings. I mistakenly called him Captain Underpants and was given a most serious look of dismay.

Next, was the Mad Catter. I am not sure if she was a "good guy" or a "bad guy", but she was very charming. She wore black with red and carried a small black purse filled with miniture "exploding" kitties. It was probably not a good idea to make her upset lest she throw them at you. In fact, I wanted to tell her she had a run in her hose but figured it would not be a good idea.

Finally, there was the Copy Cat. I tall lean girl, wearing a brightly striped shirt and tights whose only goal was to make sure everything she did was one step ahead of the Mad Catter.

They were altogether pleasant if not downright fun. I laughed, I was amazed and I was impressed. They are my children and they were rich with imagination tonight! I was amazed at how creative they were with their costumes and ideas. I marvel at their quikness and wit about the whole thing. I had to assure "Captain Iceberg" that only the bravest, truest, Superhero could go about with his briefs on the outside of his pants.

So after a full day, I can only hope that you have had such pleasurable company as I. But then, how many of you can say, "I have dined with Superheroes tonight."?

katcha ~ maybe I'll get lucky and they'll take me flying later?
